Park Plans
This section is devoted to centralizing information on
Montgomery County's plans to buy the land adjacent to
Kentlands and Lakelands for the purpose of industrial use.
This would destroy the nature of the surrounding communities
which are based on the age-old tradition of the town
concept.

Rachael Hammoudeh, Frank Anderson, Shelley Sharma, and Neil
Harris of the Concerned Taxpayers of Montgomery County [CTMC]
take petitions signed by nearly 900 county residents to the
Montgomery County Council on Monday, August 3. The CTMC opposes
the county executive's plans to acquire the former National
Geographic property for undisclosed or unrestricted uses.
